Prins, the prince, is a Burmese Yok-Thei Puppet. Please refer to the information on the previous page about the history & traditions of this form of puppetry.
He is carved in teak wood with an authentic vintage costume. He is fully functional. However, due to his size and weight, most difficult to manipulate. We have him standing in a stand that allows you to place him in your home as you wish. Of course, you could choose to hang him as you would a smaller puppet. In either case, he is remarkable and unique.
The Burmese are Master Puppeters creating awesome shows for the wonderment of all. Their costumes are magnificent, often showing the intricate sequin work for which the Burmese are so well known.
